Business Portraits — Melissa:
I met Melissa during my stay in Japan, and just before I left, she asked me to photograph her professional portraits.
The goal was to create a series of images that would suit the wide range of work and projects she is involved in.
Together with her husband Isaac, Melissa founded a home for Israelis in Japan and built a vibrant Jewish community. She is a truly inspiring figure, moving naturally between culture, storytelling, food, film, and leadership.
The session was spontaneous yet professional. The portraits were created to feel natural and relaxed (something that was very important to her) while remaining adaptable to all aspects of her work. It was a pleasure photographing Melissa.
The final series carries a subtle documentary touch, balancing authenticity and professionalism — images that can live across platforms while staying true to who she is.
