Female Athletes/Gym Enthusiasts:

This idea stemmed from reflecting on how perceptions of women in gyms and strength training have evolved over time. There used to be a stigma around women building muscle; it wasn’t seen as legitimate or acceptable for a woman to be strong, and those who were, stood out as exceptions. Today, this has changed. However, many still criticize: “You’ll become too muscular,” “Men don’t like women who are too strong,” “You’ll look like a man,” “It’s unhealthy for women to lift too much,” “You’re a tomboy,” and more.

I believe that this project concept can deliver the message that it’s perfectly fine to be a strong woman with a muscular body. It’s healthy, attractive, and can even challenge the perceived differences and limitations between men and women. Many people today still cling to outdated views about women who work out and the broader ideals of beauty. Muscle mass and physical appearance have been subjected to gender-based categorizations and even chauvinistic remarks.

Nowadays, it’s becoming more common, and there are a variety of functional workouts that don’t discriminate between the physical capabilities of men and women. Sometimes, it’s even difficult to tell the difference between the two. This is a concept I personally connect with (I was a fitness trainer in the past and currently train as well). I’ve often faced unpleasant criticism about my body from those around me. I believe everyone should take responsibility and care for their health and body, whether they are male or female, overweight or extremely thin.

Additionally, my interest in fields typically dominated by men, and still considered so today, plays a role in this. Sports and weightlifting have personally helped me “combat” thinness and gain weight, something I hadn’t managed to achieve in any other way. Ultimately, everyone will reach different results, but everyone has the real ability to build muscle (depending on their dedication), each with their own capacity, desire, and motivation. For some, it will be more noticeable; for others, less so. But the idea of taking a step forward and doing something, investing in our health, is the most important thing. Even after overcoming the initial challenge of getting into this field, it can completely become something enjoyable and a new hobby.

The photoshoot took place at "Sun" Studio, where the muscle mass is clearly visible. Through this, I convey the old-new idea, encouraging the audience to be positively influenced and start doing something for themselves without fear of what others think (what others think is none of our business).
